Gender Sensitization Programme, Panipat
Our team members have been carrying out Gender Sensitization Workshops in Government Schools of Panipat since July, 2019. In open sessions, issues such as sexual harassment, concept of gender, bullying etc. are discussed. Our members also conduct surveys to understand the ground reality and level of awareness amongst the students. Sanshodhan aims at carrying out such similar programmes, in urban government schools to increase sensitivity towards the issue of gender and harassment.
Police Training Programme, Mumbai
A robust training programme was carried out by our members at Marol Police Training Academy, Mumbai in June, 2019. A similar training programme was also carried out by our members at Panipat in January, 2019. We tied up with local district administration to engage with and capacitate the police forces regarding POCSO (Prevention of Child Sexual offences act 2012) and Juvenile Justice Act 2015. Sanshodhan aims to create an environment where the authorities are well equipped to deal with such sensitive situations and the public at large feels confident to approach the authorities.
Sessions on Women's Rights with Anganwadi Workers, Panipat
Our members are carrying interactive sessions with Anganwadi Workers. The sessions on Women's Rights are being conducted since July, 2019. The workers discuss local issues faced by the women in their areas and they are made aware about women's rights, in light of various statutes and state policies, created to safeguard the same. Sanshodhan strives to create legal awareness about women's rights in the country.
Aiding Those in Need Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
This is an ongoing project carried out by Sanshodhan. Our volunteers/ members have are directly helping those in need, including migrant labourers, health care workers and the destitute., by going on field to cater to the needs of these people. We are presently involved in Tiruppur Tamil Nadu, Jaunpur U.P, New Delhi and Patiala Punjab. Our volunteers and members are directly helping them by providing basic food supplies and basic sanitation items.
